Total Home Gym

For many, exercising with a total home gym has very much become a part of everyday life. The total home gym is designed to use a unique concept that works toward the goal of resistance strength training. The total gym consists of a bench that is mounted on casters that rolls along a set of inclined rails.

The user’s body weight provides the bulk of the resistance for each exercise. An individual can select the resistance level by increasing or decreasing it by simply raising or lowering the incline of the rails. The total gym is both quick to setup and take down, and initial assembly time out of the box is almost non-existent. A major advantage of this machine is the small amount of storage space it requires. It is similar in size to an ironing board when folded for storage which makes it very convenient for the user. Setup takes only about two minutes and you simply just unfold the unit. Then, you raise the incline of the rails and set the locking pin into place.

A great advantage to this home gym equipment is that it allows the user to perform a wide variety of health club style exercises minus the health club fees. You can easily change from one exercise to the next in quick fashion. It usually only requires you to change your position on the bench. For a few exercises, you can use the pull-up bar that is used to attach to the main unit which has two locking pins that are easily and quickly removed.

Perhaps the single most important advantage is the quality of the workout that you will get using the total gym machine. The total gym exercise equipment really does sit at the top. Due to the speed that the user can move from one exercise to the next, the user will benefit his or her cardiovascular system because the unit can be made to do more work than as compared to multi-station gym that many are quite familiar with.

While many people do not need any convincing about the benefits of exercising, there are some who may need to hear about all the many benefits before thinking twice about an exercise program that includes a total gym. You do not need a lot of big equipment to reap the many benefits of exercise equipment. You may wish to consider a piece or two of equipment and then train with some smaller pieces of equipment such as dumb bells.

When training, you are going to be exercising a very specific part or group of your muscles and there are many pieces of gym equipment that are available to you.
There are many different type of equipment used for training such as total gyms, pilates, treadmills, gymnastic fitness rings, bar bells, and also rowing machines. For the hardcore users of free weights and dumbbells, there is a new machine that has hit the market that many body builders have taken notice of. The machine promotes greater muscle definition and is known as the RX-8000, or a muscle isolator.

Other home exercise equipment include items that are more commonly identified by all such as bicycles and elliptical machines which add a very nice compliment to your exercise regimen. If you want to monitor your fitness level, you can also consider purchasing items such as a heart rate monitor and blood pressure cuffs.
